On Thursday, March 5, 2009, members of the Auburn-Gresham commmunity attended a townhall meeting at TARGET Area DevCorp. The concerned residents were very engaged in the discussions about the opposition of the hot dog stand opening on the 7800 block of South Ashland. The residents feel that public safety is an issue including increased traffic, lack of security and unwanted gang activity in the community. The community will continue to meet to strategize on how to add pressure to Bernstein to prevent him from opening his business.
